Opportunities to join the Mental Health Victoria Board

We are seeking nominations to appoint three new Board members, with their terms to commence following our AGM on 24 November 2022.

Our Nominations Committee has assessed the current and likely future skills, experience and diversity needs of the Board and determined that MHV would benefit from the appointment of directors with substantial skills and experience in the following areas:

  • General experience in governance across community/not-for-profit, government or commercial sectors 
  • Finance, partnerships and engagement, and service delivery skills

The Committee strongly encourages applicants from the below backgrounds to respond to the call for nominations:

  • Members of diverse communities, including from First Nations, LGBTIQ+, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities
  • Lived experience of mental health issues (as a consumer, carer or family member)
  • Gender and gender diverse 
  • Regional/rural Victorians
