Work with Pride: LGBTIQ+ Affirmative Interpersonal Skills

This interactive training guides staff teams through a series of activities to apply affirming practice in their own role and organisational context.

This interactive webinar course is designed to increase the confidence and skills of individual professionals to improve outcomes for LGBTIQ+ colleagues and clients through the practical application of knowledge gained from the foundational course True Colours: Introduction to LGBTIQ+ Inclusive Practice.

Who's it for?

This workshop has been developed by Rainbow Health Australia to support organisations working towards LGBTIQ+ inclusive practice and seeking to create safe, welcoming services.

Course objectives

Develop skills to reflect critically on own practice in relation to LGBTIQ+ inclusivity.
Develop an applied understanding of LGBTIQ+ affirming practice at an individual, interpersonal level.
Understand individual practice improvements in the context of overarching organisational standards and strategies.
Identify actions at an individual level to promote LGBTIQ+ affirming practice.
Identify actions to advocate for organisational change.
